1927 · The first violins, the first steps
According to the official history of ONER MUZIK, the story began in 1927 when H. Oner became interested in violin making. A confectioner by trade, he took up this new craft at the age of 43 and made thirteen violins. This connection with instruments became the starting point for the family's journey in music.
When strings were difficult to obtain, he sought a solution using the materials available to him, making strings from bicycle wheel spokes. The step from violin making to string production reflects an effort to meet a practical need. The company's official history records that Oner string production continued in later years.
1960 · A story carried across generations
In 1960, the business of Şamlı İskender Kutmani's company was taken over. H. Oner continued working with his son D. Oner under the name Oner Müzik Evi. The later handover to the third generation opened another chapter in this family story. Today's ONER MUZIK is rooted in that history and in the contributions of successive generations.
